Eco-Freez Coolants was invited to participate on the Dragon’s Den, CBC’s television hit show.
With the national exposure that this show generated we have be receiving calls from as far away as Ontario with people expressing an interest in the Eco-Freez product line.

M & R Environmental has just made the finalists in two categories for the Burnaby Business Excellence Awards.  The first is in the category of Business Innovation and the second is in Environmental Sustainability.  The winners for the Burnaby Business Excellence Awards 2008 will be notified on November 6th at a black tie dinner.

In an effort to continue supplying our customers with products that they require for shops, M & R Environmental is now a sub-distributor for Forte Radiator Products.  If you do not have a program set up for offering your customers options on maintaining their cooling system contact your area sales manager and a counter display package will be brought out to your shop.

In the ever-changing times we live in it only stands to reason that there are more changes coming out in the coolant industry.  While this information only pertains to Heavy Duty applications at this time it is something that bears watching.  Volvo has now put out an engine that requires no nitrites for protection in their coolant.  Be sure if you are ordering new trucks and Volvo powers them, that you use the correct coolant.

Class action lawsuit against GM/Dex-Cool in the United States that has been dragging on for the past 13 years has finally been settled. While this ruling is only for the US it is reassuring that GM/Dex-cool is finally being forced to admit what those of us in the industry have known for years.

Winter is coming, now is the time to start talking to your customers about servicing coolant systems.  Remember if a customer is not interested in changing coolant, the potential is still there to sell a cooling system conditioner if the system needs servicing.  Conditioners will restore pH in the coolant as well neutralize some of the acids forming in the coolant.
